There are two versions available of this print.
1: Intensely orange version of the portrait, a silkscreen print on handmade paper and on stiff art board. These were experiments in the medium and there are only 2 left of 6. A collaboration with Luis González who screenprinted these in Berlin.
2: Vividly coloured Giclée print on textured, heavy 320gsm German Etching paper by Hannemuhle. 21 x 27 cm
This piece is inspired by someone who I've drawn a few times. He can be seen on the front and back cover of Pound Shop 3. I imagined him apearing in the dark just for a moment, lit by the flame of his lighter, a monument of red clay looking toward the viewer just before the light went out again.
These prints have been produced in strictly limited editions of 10, plus Artist's Proof. Each is titled, signed and numbered along the bottom edge of the image and on the back. The archive-quality Hannemuhle paper is nice and heavy with a tactile texture and brilliant colour-holding properties - the tones glow brighter than screen pixels.
